First Republic Bank is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst with a track record of 5 10 years to support a payments system implementation in the San Francisco office. The Business Analyst will provide support to Project Managers and Lead Business Analyst in coordinating and/or executing project tasks, producing project documentation and communicating with business partners. The position serves as a liaison and requires the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various partners.

The primary duty of the Senior Business Analyst will be to partner with Business to capture current and future state process models, identifying existing pain points, generating business requirements, facilitating User Acceptance Testing, and identifying any needed reporting and data analytics in support of the timely execution of the project. The candidate will to work with business managers and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to identify, prioritize, and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support new business. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate a concern, document a recommended solution, create test scripts, coordinate UAT Testing efforts, guiding the solution through to completion. These solutions may include process changes, technology enhancements, with close coordination with vendors. The candidate is expected to be a self-starter, requiring minimal oversight, is results-oriented, with a strong sense of teamwork Responsibilities.

* Experience applying process redesign best practices to operational improvement initiatives

* Experience in facilitating process workshops, having documented information elicited using process models and requirements artifacts

* Able to structure a large amount of information within a process framework

* Knowledge of a business process modelling notation (e.g. BPMn) for documenting current and future state processes

* Experience creating training material

* A track record of excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relate to and understand others, with a reputation of approachability

* Symbolic thinker/communicator with strong MS Visio skills

* A reputation of a commitment to continuous learning, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly

* Six Sigma/Lean process redesign experience or certification is a plus

* Experience with payment systems is a plus


* Bachelor's Degree or higher or relevant experience in implementing software for a financial institution

* 5-10 years of business/ process analysis required

* 3+ years of banking experience required

* 3+ years of experience with payments systems, or relevant transactional workflow system preferred

* Highly adept user of MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Access, and common data analytics tools required

* Relevant experience acceptable as a member of a financial institution or consulting firm

* Six Sigma/Lean process redesign experience or certification is a plus

* Communication skills: active listener that demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely in a variety of settings and styles; is effective in a variety of formal presentation and meeting settings; commands attention and can manage group process during presentation/ discussion

* Change management: gains support for change by providing context and responding with sensitivity to concerns; takes initiative to recommend/ develop innovative approaches to getting things done

* Negotiation skills: negotiates skillfully in tough situations with internal and external groups; can be both direct and diplomatic

* Peer relationships: can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration
