Zendesk is seeking a GTM Strategy Manager to join our San Francisco team! In this role, you will help drive the strategy for Zendesk's core transactional business through a) data analytics across lead & prospect data, customer & product usage analytics, and external market data; and b) operational initiatives across marketing, sales and customer success.

The transactional business makes up the core our of our 100,000+ customer base and represents the roots of Zendesk. Data is exciting to you and you are passionate about making data-driven decisions. You recognize the power of data to drive business decisions for this segment. You recognize that data is most impactful through critical thinking, ad hoc analysis, and exploration. You know how to connect data to business and are comfortable explaining complex data and concepts.

You'll be working closely with various operational leaders in marketing, sales, and customer success to grow all aspects of our transactional business forward: new business acquisition, existing customer expansion and improving retention.

Responsibilities:

* Lead market intelligence efforts and work cross-functionally to socialize key insights

* Design and interpret key performance metrics (KPI), including web traffic, leads, sales pipeline, revenue

* Prepare analysis and recommendations for tactical decision-making

* Lead ongoing analysis of business performance and present recommendations to GTM leadership for strategic decision-making and investment

* Identify untapped business potential, then develop and implement plans to capture it

* Support strategic initiatives developed by GTM leadership or strategy team

* Work closely with marketing and sales ops to analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements:

* Bachelor degree, preferably in an analytical discipline such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, economics, etc.

* 3+ years of prior work experience in an analytics, business intelligence, or strategy consulting type role

* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, GoodData, BIME, Google Data Studio 360, etc.

* 2+ years of experience writing production datasets in SQL/Hive OR building internal/production data tools for ETL, or exploration in a scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc.)

* Exceptional problem-solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft high-quality presentations to management

* Proven track record working in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects independently

* Highly collaborative, team player who can work cross-functionally

* Understanding of software industry / SaaS sales and marketing models is a plus
