Shotgun is part of Autodesk - the company that makes software for people who make things giving us the backing to continue our rapid growth as the global market leader in professional media production.

It is time to take the creative collaboration tools we provide to the next level. If you want to help invent and launch the next generation of tools for Artists and Designers to collaborate around media then we'd like to hear from you.

You would mentor and manage a small team of Product Managers focused on creating a next-generation tool that provides professional digital Artists and Designers with everything they need to work together. Built from the ground up our new tool will provide the communication, collaboration and high-end media tools that creative teams need. In partnership with UX Design and Engineering leaders, you would drive this entire area of the business. The cross-functional team combines an intense user focus with the opportunity to leverage unique technologies that have won Oscars and defined media industries for years. The role works alongside other Group Product Managers, managing similar teams, and reports to the Director of Product Management. The role has responsibility for everything Shotgun provides for creative media collaboration. A major focus is creating a new powerful easy-to-use desktop application which Artists and Designers will live in every day.

We are looking for a leader experienced in defining product visions, roadmaps, product discovery, customer validation, delivery, experimentation and data-driven optimization. This is a 'hands-on' role, with an emphasis on 'shipping'. We have highly engaged and visually creative customers and you would work closely with the Director of Design to help us deliver tools with truly great user experiences. You would be joining a passionate team of Product Managers and Designers based in our offices in LA, San Francisco, London and Montreal. Our preferred location for this role is San Francisco.

What we are looking for:

* An experienced product person - someone who has at least 7 years experience product managing a software application. This is a 'been there and done it' role.

* With experience of creating a new app from the ground up

* Who is deeply user and design centric (a background of working with UX designers every day, digging deep into analytics, running A/B test and never misses an opportunity to talk to customers).

* A background in either Consumer apps or very contemporary Enterprise/Team apps (Slack, Trello, Asana etc.).

* A leader with 2 years of mentoring and managing other Product Managers (exceptionally a Principle level Product Manager looking to take on new management responsibilities).

* With a track record of 'leading from the front' to ship awesome products

* With a passion for creating the next generation of creative collaboration tools.

What would be a bonus:

* Experience of creative industries such as Film Production, VFX, Games and Design Studios

What you'd be doing:

* Taking complete ownership of an area of the overall Shotgun product set

* Managing and mentoring a team of passionate Product Managers

* Defining and articulating what the strategy and roadmap should be

* Bringing coherence to the projects within a single product initiative

* Ensuring that we constantly validate with our passionate customers

* Partnering with our designers to deliver 'consumer-grade' UX

* Partnering with our engineer leaders to constantly deliver features that wow our customers and help them succeed

What we offer:

* An awesome Shotgun culture fun, passionate, creative, while being organized and generally kick ass

* A super powerful platform to build upon (think entities, schemas, event systems etc)

* Highly engaged customers that live by our product, love what it can do and want to contribute ideas and feedback

* A small company start-up feel while having the benefits of big company scale

* Being part of Autodesk which is regularly rated as one of the best companies to work for

* Highly competitive compensation packages and first class benefits (even a paid sabbatical!)

* And the satisfaction of seeing the most amazing media, creative designs and stories told with Shotgun's help
