Job Description:/h3:
ASA seeks an energetic, detail:oriented and collaborative leader to fill the new position of Manager, Education Programs located in our San Francisco office. This new position is an integral part of the ASA Education Team and will also work across departments to meet organizational objectives. This position reports to the Director of Education and is responsible for the following:
:Aging in America Conference. The Education Manager is a core conference planning team member working on the day:to:day project management and delivery of ASAs annual Aging in America Conference. This position will support all aspects of conference delivery. Roles and responsibilities entail engagement with diverse functions including marketing, conference logistical planning, registration, customer service and finance.
:Web Seminars. The Education Manager will provide technical assistance to this growing program. Responsibilities include participant support during web seminars, moderating web seminars, and providing recording and archiving support. Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned based on program growth.
:Continuing Education (CEU) Program. The Education Manager will manage all aspects of ASAs CEU accreditation program for in:person and online programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring compliance with all accrediting organization requirements, improvements to CEU certificate system, and developing instructional materials for recipients.
:Constituent Programs. The Education Manager provides program support to the following ASA member:driven initiatives: Corp of Accomplished Professionals (CAPs); membership regional roundtables; membership Constituent Groups. Other initiatives may be assigned as they are developed.
:Website and Database Support. The Education Manager will maintain Education webpages and assist in new database implementation.
Position Requirements: Candidates must have the following job:related knowledge or professional experience:
:Project management and/or project coordination
:Experience planning and moderating web seminars
:Ability to work well in cross:functional teams with both onsite and remote staff
:Ability to work independently, use initiative, identify problems and propose solutions
:Demonstrated skill in leading a group through a process to reach a satisfactory conclusion
:Ability to facilitate groups and guide them through a discussion.
:Ability to travel to ASA Conference to provide strategic support
:Ability to analyze complex spreadsheets with data and report key information to the management team
:Mastery of Microsoft Office software programs
:Ability to work successfully with specialized software including a comprehensive association management system; web seminar management and delivery applications such as GoToWebcast; and specialized web applications such as Survey Monkey.
:Excellent written and verbal communication skills
:Excellent customer service skills
:Interest or experience in aging services, gerontology, or social work is a plus.
:Event management experience is a plus
:Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred
:Minimum two years experience in performing similar work requiredCompany Description:/h3:
