Position: Program Director, Executive Education Program – School of Law
Location: Berkeley, CA
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Start Date: February 1, 2018 (approximate)
This is a one-year, full-time (100%) appointment, subject to renewal.

Berkeley Law is seeking a creative, entrepreneurial individual to serve as Program Director of our Executive Education Program. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Executive Education and in consultation with faculty and senior leaders, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, marketing, and managing executive education programs aimed at business executives, policymakers, and legal practitioners at the highest levels from across the globe.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identifying opportunities for new executive education programming and initiatives.

• Developing and implementing strategic plans for the programs, including feasibility studies and marketing plans.

• Analyzing, planning, and directing the development of curriculum and support services to meet the needs of the program and its participants.

• Developing and maintaining institutional relationships and strategic partnerships with companies, law schools, governments, and other organizations around the world.

• Managing daily operations of all programs, including the implementing all instructional components including classes and lectures.

• Coordinating all aspects of programs internally at Berkeley Law and on the UCB campus as well as with other law school constituencies, including the law school's multi- disciplinary research centers, faculty, and administrative units.

• Working in collaboration with the Director of Global Outreach, Executive Education on the marketing and recruitment efforts and promoting the program locally, nationally, and internationally.

Minimum Qualifications Required (at the time of application):
• B.A. or equivalent degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• J.D. degree or equivalent degree preferred.

• Experience in executive education or academic program design and implementation.

• Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility and professionalism

• Effective communication (verbal and written) skills, including presentations and public speaking.

• Creative, entrepreneurial, forward-looking, and energetic approach with ability to identify and pursue new models for legal education from conceptual stage to implementing new programs.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships within a diverse population.

• Strong management and administrative experience with a high degree of responsibility in a creative enterprise

• Knowledge of methods, principles and practices in: marketing and promotion; online program development; management and supervision; strategic planning; project management; program design development and administration.

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and sensitivity to applicants from different cultural, ethnic, geographic, and experiential backgrounds.

• International experience.
