OVERVIEW

The Project Management Office is a critical Store Development function that leads cross-teams in Real Estate, Real Estate Legal, Finance, Creative Services, Technical Design Services, Architecture & Engineering, and Construction. The Strategic Initiatives team acts as the \"quarterback\" in leading new ideas or pilot projects from inception, through due diligence and approvals, to construction and store opening. The Sr. Manager of Strategic Initiatives is a well-rounded project management professional who demonstrates learning agility, dealing with ambiguity. They should be able to exemplify positive & collaborative team spirit to influence, and drive projects. The Sr. Manager will lead an immediate team of 1 other Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Collaborate closely with multiple cross-functional teams to understand the new concepts or initiatives.

* Clearly communicate (through verbal or presentations) such strategies to cross-functional teams for context.

* Partner with cross-functional teams to closely monitor and manage project deliverables. Thoroughly understand status & risk, and communicate regular updates.

* Prepare and present project scope, options and solutions to appropriate audiences; functional leaders, managers, etc.

* Educate and influence multiple teams; drive alignment and focus.

* Develop critical project management tools and techniques that will enable successful completion of pilot projects.

* Lead weekly cross-functional meetings; creates agenda, facilitates discussion and provides written meeting recap

* Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.

* Develop training, as needed, to educate various teams on new concepts (post completion of pilot/test projects) for roll-out.

* Train, coach and develop team; guide team and participates regularly in on-going brand alignment.

KEY EXPERIENCES

* Minimum experience: 7+ years project management related to real estate, architecture, engineering, construction

* Bachelor's degree in project management, architecture, engineering, construction, strategy, marketing, or related fields preferred.

* Expert knowledge of retail construction and real estate pipeline

* Willingness to learn from, and to teach others

* Solid storytelling through written or verbal skills

* High proficiency in Microsoft office applications (especially PowerPoint)

* Demonstrated initiative with ability to work independently and with teams interchangeably

* Proven problem solving skills & critical thinking

* Proven track record to lead and manage projects to completion

* Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workload

* Must have great attention to detail and work well under pressure

* Must be comfortable with presenting to leadership teams and working in cross-functional teams

* Is outspoken and has proven ability to influence across the organization

* Ability to mentor, guide and develop team members
