Job Summary

The Talent Program Director position is a key leadership position within the Americas Talent Development organization within HR. Responsibilities include subject matter expertise and leadership; client engagement in partnership with HR business partners and planning and execution of new processes from time to time for example promotion, assessment or other OD type activities.

Major Responsibilities:

* Lead, partner and participate across Talent Development team in areas including: Succession Management, Talent Assessment and Positioning, Talent and Leadership Development, Engagement.

* Manage a small team of circa 3-4 Talent Development professionals but also lead projects where various staff may participate.

* Engage in the MUFG global Talent Management agenda

* Participate in and/or lead aspects of enterprise/business function change management activities and initiatives

* Own and lead methodology for talent and succession management, integrating with global TM approach.

* Execute in partnership with HR Business Partners and other HR partners including global; regularly assess current and future leadership development needs for targeted populations.

* Provide expert advice on the most effective approach to address key leadership development issues.

* Facilitate talent review process; collaborate with HR Business Partners and managers on talent assessment and succession planning

* Participate in driving the Bank's 360 process and serve as a 360 assessment feedback coach

* Manage relationship with vendors to shape the strategy, design and implementation of various programs or initiatives

* Evaluate impact of development programs on both individual and organizational levels. Ensure integration of the Bank's executive and other leadership development programs.

* Effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including the Corporate Training and Development Department and other HR functions, and demonstrate a high level of professional expertise.


* Minimum ten years' experience in leadership and/or organizational development, five of which should be in the implementation of executive-level leadership development programs.

* Good understanding of business, business strategy, and how to link HR initiatives to business initiatives.

* Knowledge of learning principles targeted at the executive-level.

* Proven ability to facilitate action learning teams and conduct executive coaching. In-depth knowledge of assessment tools (e.g., 360 degree feedback instruments, personality inventories, assessment center exercises, etc.).

* Knowledge of best practices in the field of executive and leadership development.

* Excellent facilitation, consulting, communication and influencing skills across organizational levels and geographies.

* Demonstrates strong analytical abilities with proven ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, identify linkages, patterns and themes.

* Ability to measure the effectiveness of development interventions and programs.

* Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional team environment, on multiple projects of moderate complexity with changing priorities.

* Demonstrates strong initiative and can work independently to deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.

* Experience delivering presentations and facilitating meetings concerning complex content.

* Experience with instructional design and stand-up leadership training facilitation.

* Focuses on details, while understanding the broader context.

* Has experience in working with graduate Business Schools to coordinate Executive Level Leadership programs.

* Has experience in managing and evaluating development programs on both individual and organizational levels.

* Has the ability to manage medium projects of moderate complexity or segments of large projects within businesses/functions, with minimal supervision.

* Demonstrated proficiency in using spreadsheets (e.g. Excel), database analysis (e.g., MS Access) and Microsoft Office and Internet applications.

* Advanced degree in Organization Development, Human Resources, or other related field.
