About the Team

Our team is made up of key engineers who built and scaled organizations like Google, Netflix, eBay, and LivingSocial. We build modern software with modern techniques like TDD, continuous delivery, DevOps, and service-oriented architecture. About the Role

Product is a big aspect of what we do. As a Lead Engineer, you will deliver products and solutions not just features because you can understand how Stitch Fix works and are trusted to focus your time and efforts where they are needed most. Your drive to dig into complex technology and apply it to the business in clean & innovative ways makes you the trusted advisor to your partners and their teams. You will own projects and influence roadmaps. Your drive to solve real business problems will lead to you partnering with your team and business partners to define product requirements, plans, and deliverables. You will lead and mentor junior team members providing learning and growth opportunities in tech and product through real day-to-day work. You will impact the business in tangible, visible ways that earns you constant high-fives and a seat at the table.

About the Consumer Engineering Team

We build the entire digital experience for our clients including stitchfix.com, our 5-star rated iOS app, the systems we use to send email, and much more. We help our clients at each stage of their experience from when they sign-up, to when they fill out their style profile, to when they checkout and provide feedback on their clothes.

Our business is successful when we make our clients happy. As a Lead Engineer on the Consumer Engineering Team, you'll spend each day working with a talented team of engineers, UX practitioners, data scientists and marketers to make clients happy.

Bonus Points

* You have experience working collaboratively as a distributed team we use GitHub, Heroku, AWS, and Slack to get stuff done online.

* You are good at prototypes and design discussion experience using pull requests, one-pagers, or screencasts to create rapid prototypes that demonstrate new features.

* You have experience with testing and CI we're working with the usual Ruby gems like Rspec, Capybara and others for unit and feature tests and use CircleCI to bring it all together.

* You have experience in distributed, service-oriented architecture we're using tools like RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, and headless HTTP services to scale our team and software.
